Fluorescence Microscopy training in the Sussex Centre for Advanced Microscopy Each year we introduce new post-graduate students in the School of Life Sciences to the theory and application of Fluorescence Microscopy by a lecture in the Advanced Methods in Molecular Research series. We offer full training in fluorescence microscopy three times each year (November, March and June). The training consists of two lectures followed by practical training on either the widefield or the confocal microscope. This training is prerequisite for use of our microscope. You can access the notes for these training events below. You may browse the pages on line or download the files using save from the file menu. 'PG introduction to theory and applications of fluorescence microscopy'. GO 'Introduction to Optical Microscopy'. GO 'Introduction to Fluorescence Microscopy'.
